About

To love what I love more deeply,
To find my way back to the light when passing storms darken the everyday,
To rise again and return to a life that glimmers,
I decided to tend to the tastes that make me who I am.

My tastes live quietly in my heart and mind,
but when they remain unseen, I too easily forget how precious they are.
So this is where I gather them—
to archive them, refine them, and watch them become something fuller.

About This Blog

sips&notes is a personal essay blog where I write about everyday life, travel, food, wine, books, music, and the quiet moments that shape me. Each piece begins with lived experience and turns into a way of making sense of the world through writing.

With 270+ posts, this blog moves between travel reflections, thoughts on work and relationships, and notes on creativity and daily life. Sometimes it's a detailed memory of a meal. Sometimes it's a book that shifted my perspective, or a piece of writing sparked by an ordinary afternoon. Every post here is personal, original, and closely tied to how I see and feel things.

About the Author

I'm a writer and interpreter based in Korea. I studied interpretation and translation in graduate school and have spent years moving between languages and cultures. Writing is how I process life: the joy in it, the banality of it, and everything in between.

This blog began as a personal archive on Naver Blog and has since found a new home here in English. It is both a creative outlet and a living record of the tastes, places, and ideas that continue to shape me.
