Western Noodles in Yeongdeok
This week, well, actually since last week, I’ve been running on empty, both in my daily life and mentally. So, I’m just barely making it onto the last train for the weekly diary challenge…
Looking at the blog challenge event scheme, it runs until November – a 6-month long journey! When it comes to consistency, I just can’t help but want to join in!
Through this weekly diary challenge, I want to look back at myself and everything around me from the past week, reflect on what influenced me, and write about the moments I want to remember and record!
At the end of a long and challenging week, I came down to Yeongdeok for some healing. I realize once again how precious it is to have a place to return to, a place to catch my breath for a moment. 🙏🏻
For Week 1, the sudden trip to Yeongdeok is the moment I want to record!
For Sunday lunch, I served tomato Seoyangguksi (pasta) to my grandmother, mom, aunt, and local friends.
Busily chopping vegetables on the cutting board, making crisp sounds. It’s not a grand or magnificent dish, but I still love the feeling of cooking for someone.

Mom’s cool heart, telling me to drink iced coffee while cooking,,💙

Sautéing the prepared ingredients and making the sauce!
