Please Grant Me Consistency in My Thirties

Generally, my emotional state at the end and beginning of the year is calmer than at any other time.

Giving special meaning and making a fuss just because it’s the end of the year, or a new year,

somehow feels unfair to the rest of the days.

To make the days that endured wonderfully throughout the year feel less wronged,

let’s just say it’s my own peculiar stubbornness.

I’ll skip over the daily life of autumn 2020.

New stories and difficult emotions are intertwined, and I don’t want to record them.

I’ve decided to self-delete that autumn.

In winter, I went to Jecheon with friends.

We breathed in plenty of the clear, white, cold air after the snow,

got tipsy and all rushed outside,

and for a long time, watched the unbelievably abundant stars pouring down from the pitch-black night sky.

In my life,

it was the first time I’d seen so many stars so clearly and up close.

Cameras usually can’t capture as much as the eye sees, but I’m satisfied with how much it did capture.

It looks like diamonds are studded everywhere.

More like dazzling flashes than just twinkling!

A night that could only be described as enchanting.

For years, I was a diary app nomad.

I tried several popular apps,

but “Haema” caught my eye in the Play Store recommendations.

You can record your daily emotional state, and it’s super cute,

so I ended up subscribing after the free trial!

I was using it happily and with satisfaction,

but today I saw “MOODA” recommended as an app in a The Edit content piece…

It has a similar concept, but the emotion character icons are even cuter,

and it has diary stickers too… Ugh…

Still, I’ll console myself by remembering that Haema allows me to record not just diaries, but also movies and books,

and for now, I’ll try to settle down with Haema.

What I want most these days is “consistency,”

so I’ll start by practicing light daily journaling,

and let consistency permeate my daily life, like forming calluses!

Even if I can’t raise a cat,

I was more serious about cat games than anyone.

Starting with Neko Atsume,

followed by “Goyangineun Jeongmal Gwiyeowo” (Cats are Really Cute),

I, who finds cats cute, even reached “Goyangiga Gwiyeoun Naneun Yuryeong” (Cats are Cute: Ghost!) haha
