Drifting Indifferently Like a Discarded Tube.

🎼Hollywood_The Black Skirts

I love The Black Skirts. When I listen to his music, my stiff brain and heart melt away, leaving me in a wonderfully hazy mood. Among his many songs, “Hollywood” is one I never listen to just once. By the time the song is ending, I naturally press the repeat button.

I’m not a music expert, so I can’t theoretically prove why this song has the charm of infinite repetition. But if I were to explain it based on my feelings, I’d say it’s because of the irresistible nature of Jo Hyuil’s vocals, which float indifferently like a discarded tube atop the layered melodic structure that resonates in my chest like waves, one after another. Plus, the Korean and English lyrics he weaves are just incredible. I want to ride The Black Skirts’ tube and drift aimlessly all day long.

heavy hugs and light hearted jokes, What if we burn up? It’ll all crumble and disappear anyway. I’m not going back. Leave me here. don’t stop action friction live in a fiction baby.

When I breathe on your slender neck, without a single fine hair, My body trembles, I love it that much. If your pure heart gets stained, It won’t do, so please love me. There’s only a beginning, The end is distant.

Your red hair swayed, Beckoning to me. “Don’t be afraid,” It said, “Jump right in!” What if we burn up? It’ll all crumble and disappear anyway. I’m not going back. Leave me here.
