A Day at the Aquarium

I used my company’s flexible work system to visit COEX Aquarium in early January. Guided by Nini, the fish expert, I trotted along to a place I hadn’t seen since I was twenty – almost 9 years! It was much smaller and had fewer attractions than I remembered. I’m sure it seemed better back then… maybe because everything looked beautiful when I was younger, haha.

Nemo greeted us at the aquarium entrance; I crouched down and watched for a long time.

I felt a strange obligation to take a ton of fish photos, but I’ve only picked out the ones that looked unique or had pretty colors.

A fascinating fish with an alligator-like mouth. I don’t remember its name, but it looks like a fossil, like a creature that’s lived for 700 years…

Its body glowed with a beautiful fluorescent light, and when I looked closer, they said it was a piranha. So, it swims so calmly before turning terrifying.

Oh, suddenly there was RM… RM… I don’t know why I got excited, but I took a picture with him, lol.

Looking down from above, it looked like a piece of art hanging on the wall…

The best part of the aquarium was this place with an enormous glass panel that made you feel like you were underwater. The background music, which had a Howl’s Moving Castle vibe, certainly played a big part, haha. It’s a great spot to sit alone, zone out, organize your thoughts, or clear your mind. If I get the chance next time, I should come alone!

How long did I stand there trying to get this wistful shot, lol.

As I get older, I stop taking everyday photos. Selfies too… I think I avoid taking more pictures because I don’t want to face a face that’s losing its freshness and youth. (Of course, it’s a different story when I travel, haha.) Still, it was nice to take the time to leave work early and spend a special yet small day with enjoyable people. This day made me feel like I should often capture and record these daily moments in photos. Very late diary entry, the end!

p.s. I went shopping that day. I even took a mirror selfie in a dress. (feat. my dazzling lavender Google Pixel 3a)
